About

Everyone has something they like to splurge on when they can afford to, be it their hobbies, nights out socialising or a fabulous designer wardrobe. Mine is travel. I'm not talking about 5 star luxury type getaways, I'm talking about modest accommodation in far flung destinations and experiences more memorable than lounging beside a pool all day.

Together with my husband I'm doing my best to jetset my way around the globe, but it isn't so easy when you have a house with a mortgage and a cat, plus a steady full-time job and only X number of days annual leave per year. So on this blog I will be sharing some of my travel experiences and hopefully inspiring other people like me.

As well as holidays, I do enjoy shopping. I'm very budget conscious when it comes to clothes, more Dorothy Perkins than Dolce & Gabbana, and if you gave me £1000 tomorrow I'd much rather spend it on a holiday to Mexico than a Mulberry handbag! That's not to say I don't appreciate designer threads, after all, the catwalk is predominantly what influences the high street.

My style is quirky and colourful. I like things that are fun and this is something that I hope to translate into my own handmade jewellery - the reason I actually started this blog to begin with. I admire a diamond ring as much as the next girl but there's always something pleasing about adorning yourself with a whimsical piece of costume jewellery!
